Sound for interdisciplinary projects, film, dance
Sharafi has extensive experience creating sound for interdisciplinary projects that intertwine dance, digital media, storytelling, and music. Since 2020, she has collaborated with the Why Not? Collective on various productions, including Super Sonic Storytelling—winner of the Ruhr Creative Award—as well as Orbital Noise, Universal Rotation, and Telepathie.
She has also contributed music to experimental short films, including collaborations with Iris Blauensteiner, whose film die-anderen-Bilder was featured on ARTE. Sharafi also composed the soundtrack for Blauensteiner’s book Atemhaut.
In 2024, Sharafi co-created the sound for the feature sci-fi film Hungry.
She has also worked on several dance productions, including Force Majeure, a co-production by Tanzquartier Wien.
